Hannah Wentzel (b. 2002) is a photographer from Cincinnati, Ohio. She received her B.F.A with a focus in photography from Northern Kentucky University (2024).
Wentzel’s personal work focuses on environmental-based self-portraiture. She acts as a director, planning every aspect of her portraits. Her imagery is often visually challenging, as she uses techniques such as composites and double exposures to provoke a feeling of the sublime or fantasy. She explores themes such as childhood, imagination, and transition stages in life. Wentzel uses her childhood home and the locations surrounding it as her backdrop.
Professionally, Hannah is the owner of Hannah Jo Photos LLC, a wedding photography business photographing nationally, with a home base in Cincinnati, Ohio. Her work has been presented at ADC Fine Art (OH), Summerfair Cincinnati (OH), and Northern Kentucky University SOTA Gallery (KY). She has been commissioned by Front Street Cafe (OH), New Richmond Distilleries (OH), and Emmett Ridge Farm (OH).

In addition to my wedding photography business, I photograph portraits of myself in and around the house I grew up in. My images are a recreation of childhood memories and dreams/nightmares.
Having physical documentation of my environment is incredibly special to me. That's why I put a heavy emphasis on documenting the location(s) you and your lover will pass through on your special day.
Videos and photos like the one above are my greatest motivation. Capturing the genuine, uninterrupted moments of someone’s special day is truly exciting. I strive to create an environment where you can simply be present—immersing yourself in the love of your partner and family. My job is to ensure you remember your wedding day exactly as it was, in its purest and most authentic form—just as my grandparents and your grandparents did.
